Located on SEPTA’s R-8 line, High Point Café @ Allens Lane Train Station opened October 2008. The station maintains its Victorian charm with a few modern, truly “High Point” touches, like our delicious “marmalade” walls and ambitious poured concrete counter and table tops- - a must see. High Point station will serve the same great coffee, homemade chai tea, and our amazing handmade pastries that won High Point Café 2008 Best of the Northwest Bakery! Though this location will not serve crepes (we need to keep a reason to keep going to the original location, don’t we?), the station will offer fabulous Grab&Go sandwiches made daily in our bakery, along with other special treats created just for our second shop. We hope to encourage weekly and one-time events at both locations, but our newest shop has wonderful overhanging rooflines that cover the outdoor seating as well as an adjacent grassy area. Music, Poetry, Community Seminars, Craft Sales and Game Nights are all events that have happened at the Original Location and could happen at the Station as well.
