SOLOMON LEVY

Over the last three years I have been photographing on regular bases the Weavers Way Farm. I started by documenting the development of the new acre of farmland in 2007. I then started taking pictures of the volunteers at work and the school groups that came to the farm. Over the next two years as the farm expanded their educational programs and developed the Saul High School CSA and the Stenton Family Manor farm programs I added them to my regular shoots. In this exhibit I am trying to show the richness of the farm programs and the participant’s joy in working on the farm. I was also fascinated by the growing process and the produce and flowers growing and presented for purchase at the markets. For this reason this exhibit is a Photo Essay. Probably three or four essays as I attempted to show all phases of the farm and related activities. For me a non farmer I became fascinated with how the farms grew and developed and how the farmers taught and involved the various schools and other groups that came to work on the farm.
