ANNIE BORTNICK

Born in the center of France, I spent my childhood and youth there. After completing my Université de Blaise Pascal studies, I taught seniors in High School at the Lycée Madame De Staël and prepared students for the Baccalaureate exam. In 1975, I moved to the United States and taught courses in History of the Arts in Western Civilization at the Performing Arts School. Today, I teach gifted students in the Downingtown School District. I enjoy plein air painting to capture the first impressions of a landscape vivid colors and contrasting textures. For the last years, I have been painting on Cape Cod in Wellfleet during vacation and in the Luberon, South of France, where my uncle, a local artist, lives.
